It'll never happen

Davis Square

Yesterday I struck out in Quincy when I found a broken Laserdisc player, today I redeemed myself; a Pioneer CLD-S104:

These laserdiscs too: Pink Floyd The Wall, Terminator 2 and Seven. I thought I struck gold with the Seven one, but I found out when I got home that the one that's worth a lot of money is the Criterion Collection:

WWII books are everywhere, a good British print on Spitfires and this neat over-sized book of front-page newspapers that spans the entire war through every country's perspective:

A Playstation Multitap for up to 4 players:

The rare Super Nes find, with Super Mario World and Battletoads & Double Dragon:

A Red Sox poster from 1987:

I would kill everyone in this store

***Sunday Post****

First time I haven't been able to update on the same day as I went out.

Finally found a Laserdisc player and it didn't work.

Got 2 unopened boxes of Fleer Ultra '93-'94 Hockey cards, don't know if the set is worth anything but it's still an odd find:

Don't touch me! Do you think I'm some kind of dog?

Fight between a crazy woman and the manager today in the outlet. Ahhh the dregs of society all coming together in one room, of course mayhem is going to ensue.

Best place for books. I was pondering getting the Hitler's Last Weapons one yesterday at one of the used bookstores I went to yesterday, thankfully I didn't because this is in unread condition. Also got The Amber Spyglass which is book 3 of Phillip Pullman's epic. I've read book 1, now all i need is 2:

David Bowie Diamond Dogs
David Bowie Young Americans
David Bowie Changes One
David Bowie Changes Two
David Bowie Starting Point
David Bowie The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
David Bowie Hunky Dory
David Bowie Let's Dance
David Bowie Station to Station

My odd vinyl of the day, a Greenpeace compilation Russian pressing

These are all in great condition, it's a change of pace from the crap that comes in there.

2 books, Orr on Ice and Complications, a book about the mishaps of surgeons:

The thing about the first book is it is signed by Bobby Orr! After doing a little research it wasn't uncommon on this book. Who says a quarter doesn't buy anything anymore:

Green Day Dookie:

2 Paulaner glasses, good glass has been trickling in as of late:

I went to Quincy after and they had one of the strangest items yet; a handmade camel saddle from Lebanon. Odd.

Look at this Monkey! Hand-painted,stands about 12" tall and weighs about 10 lbs. The sticker underneath him says $67, I paid $3.99.

A laundry cart filled with cds, radio station WZLY donated them all. Mostly garbage but I did get a couple I've wanted for a while now: Godflesh Merciless and Disincarnate Dreams of the Carrion Kind:

Once again I don't get into Central because I went to the used bookstore after in Davis and they were having a 50% off moving sale and I picked up a bunch of WWII books I needed for my collection and carrying them around wasn't an high on my list.

"He's my honey"...."uhm he's dead"

The title of this comes from a mentally challenged woman speaking of her love for Mr. Rogers and her caretaker crushing maybe one of her only real feelings of happiness by telling her, her crush is no longer among us. Pretty shitty in my opinion.

anyways....

Really odd find today. GG Allin Suicide Sessions cassette tape. It goes for about $20, I paid 50 cents. Sweet deal:

It was like something out of a dream. There was a book cart filled with nothing but war books. If you knew how this place is set up or even organized you'd know that finding something like that would be so rare it will probably never happen again. So I picked up 10 of the best and many I already had, and I also got a book on soccer hooligans, which is at the bottom of the stack. Best $2.36 I've spent in a while:

Harrison Ave.

Just this holiday Sam Adams glass:

Monday, March 3, 2008

Will you deliver it to me?

Quincy

Another PS2 controller, but unlike the last one this works. The good thing though is now that the Goodwill does 24 hour returns on electronics, I can give them back the one that didn't work and get store credit for it.

Brockton Amvets

I have never gotten a book here before, but this is a good hardcover on modern battlefield weapons. This book came from the Buffalo Public library, which finally explains why there is so much Buffalo Bills merchandise and clothes from NY sports teams. The Amvets must be getting a lot of donation material from NY.

The only reason I got this Mario/Duckhunt NES game was because it had the instruction booklet to go along with it:

3 original TMNT water bottles, in great shape too:

You ruined the set!

My aim today was to pop in and out with something as quickly as possible, due to the fact that I am ridiculously busy for the next few days.

Deliverance soundtrack and Grateful Dead Live Dead Lp's:
