I usually don't divulge the meaning of the title but I just can't help myself this time. The Vietnamese guy had a doll in his hand and was whacking it's head off the corner of the table, repeating said title of this post.
Anyways, found some more leftovers of yesterdays haul, only this time I'll be making some good profit on ebay when I come back from vacation ( Key West: Sept 4-Sept 9).
Murphy's Law Back With A Bong Clear Vinyl!
Bold Speak Out rare Gatefold Lp!
I should make a good $50 off those two alone.
I do collect vinyl, but I'm just not into those bands so why waste space, ya know.
The Danzig record I'll keep for my own collection since it's really not worth much.
Also got the Smashing Pumpkins Pisces Iscariot cd:

You're gonna walk around the store with that?
A lot of crap kept coming through the doors today, many children's toys, a lot of board games and none of it I could use. Did scrounge around for some records. Someone got rid of their punk/hardcore collection. Got the Cro-Mags Age of Quarrel, too bad it has the censored inner sleeve or we'd be talking 30-40 dollars. Also got some traditional Irish folk music:

Who's bag is this? Cuz it's about ta get stolen!
Harrison Ave today. Saw a few vintage board games and wisely decided not to get them for they weren't really worth anything when I came home and checked into it. Also saw a bunch of Lego sets that either didn't have instructions or were missing pieces, I think I learned my lesson after that ebay fiasco. Speaking of ebay my two auctions from last week were a success! Samurai Swords board game went for $51 and the Lego Bionicle went for $12.
Genesis 32x!:
Yet another 80s local soccer shirt:
A beautiful Samuel Adams Octoberfest glass:
A quarter-liter German stein:
Stopped over at Quincy and found nothing of interest. It's probably because the Vietnamese guy is back from exile and getting everything in site. BOOOO!
Wasn't gonna go to Brockton today but decided last second to head down there.
4 more Nintendo games, they just keep piling up:
A NES controller:
SNES/N64/Gamecube A/V cables:
Another vintage Lacoste cardigan:

Those are old, don't let them charge you too much for those
I like the new lady at the Quincy goodwill, she got me a bad-ass deal on an AMAZING haul today, 35 Nintendo Games! Lots of classics too, not gonna list em all just look at the pic:
Everything else pales in comparison to that but I still gotta list.
A kids Patriots helmet, gonna get drunk and watch a lot of football this year in this:
A Brett Saberhagen bobble head:
And not pictured is a half-pint Guinness/Smithwick's/Harp glass.

This awesome tazmanian devil Boston bruins jersey:
Some glasses:
Brockton Amvets:
This was the place to be today, couldn't miss here.
Lots of nice glasses here for a change:
*** The holy-shit!-find-of-the-day***
Axis & Allies AND Fortress America original gamemaster series games. A&A is a keeper, fortress will in all likelyhood become an ebay auction. Now i just gotta count all the pieces.
Quincy Goodwill:
A rushed late trip there today.
A Whalom Park glass ( remember that place?):
An older Boston Bruins pennant:

Ring my bell
Got a couple of Elton John records; Honky Chateau and Greatest Hits 1979-1987:
Had some things to do in town today so I stopped at the Central Salvation Army and as always left with nothing, that place really sucks. Went over to the Central Goodwill and left with nothing also, left behind an N64 ( like I need another one of those) and a couple of glasses. I just wasn't feeling it today.

Its impossible to find film for that
I had it all planned out, go from thrift store to thrift store during vacation, basking in my treasures and having the satisfying feeling of accomplishment. So far it's been anything but, I really haven't been motivated, plus there are other things I'd like to get done on this break. Anyways enough rambling, lets get on with the goods.
Quincy
Didn't spend a penny and still got out with something, now that's thrift my friends, even if it is a few Genesis game boxes, I'll eventually bump into these games and now I'll have the cases for them when I do:
Harrison Ave
Justine tagged along for the rest of this adventure. Got this giant drink glass, holds 40 oz:
This vintage souvenir from Paris (obviously):
A local little league jersey:
Brockton
Good day here finding a bunch of video games. A slew of SNES games which are for some unknown reason hard to come by. Nothing special here Madden 94, NCAA Basketball, Super Play Action Football, Desert Strike, and NBA Showdown. I could care less about the football titles but I'd definitely play the others a few times. Alladin for Genesis ( good game). A few N64 games as well: Goldeneye 007, NHL Blades of Steel '99, and Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey:

Go around the building, take a right at the lights
What has happened to the Davis Sq. Goodwill? Looks like they are reorganizing then place. They took out the 3 laundry carts on the first floor that were loaded with books. They took away most of the wares ( especially glass) downstairs. They did however add a monstrous record section, but it still wasn't enough to garner any interest from me today. Left with empty arms.
Central Sq. has been good lately, especially in the video game deals. Got a whole slew of NES games and in licensed storage cases (Goal! Two, Monopoly and Sesame Street) and even a couple of unlicensed games ( Rad Racket Deluxe Tennis II and Puzzle), not to mention 2 instruction booklets, Karate Kid and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link:
I also picked up a Nintendo, console-only:

Nothin in there today kid
Just a book, at least its a good one; H.S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas:
Getting this book today had me thinking, wouldn't it be cool to do a little Gonzo Journalism on thrift stores. I could do a bunch of narcotics, wash it down with some Bacardi 151 and hit thte road and see where it takes me. Probably not a good idea because I would either A. be dead or B. be dead.
The Quincy goodwill usually gets exhausted of good finds mid-week, so I'm gonna bet that nothing will turn up tomorrow.
Friday is my last day of real work for a month! I may have some odd jobs here and there but other than that let my thrift binge begin.
I'm really looking forward to having Saturday mornings off so I can scour Craigslist for good yard sales.
***EDIT***
For a few days this board game caught my eye, its called Samurai Swords and its basically an Axis & Allies game but in Feudal Japan. Once I looked up its value I rushed back over to the goodwill and snatched it up. This will be another ebay auction, because it is going for BIG money, and only cost me 5 dollars:

Is anyone working here?
Nothing too much going on at Harrison today. As always, still walked out of there with some things of value.
As far as ashtrays go, im not a collector of them, but when I see a huge 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team one, I'll pick it up in a heartbeat:
A Namco PS1/Ps2 light-gun:
Soldiers of Fortune for Genesis:
Made a quick stop into Quincy and got probably the most random thing I've yet to pick up; Wind-Up sushi:

You people are so good to me
Today I had to go into Norwood to have my car serviced, so I decided after to go to some places I usually don't get out to.
Salvation Army Norwood:
This is actually a fairly new location, it certainly didn't have the SA odor and dirtiness. I felt like I was in Jordan's furniture the way they set the place up. This location has awesome deals on books (soft covers 4/$1) and records ( 50 cents ea.) other than that everything is way overpriced. There were a lot of antiques there, but the prices scare you away ( glassware was insane $2.99 and up). I actually found an awesome LP storage case, but since it didn't have a price tag they wouldn't sell it to me (boo!). Still got a few things.
Records; Gregorian Chant, 2 Polka and an accordion:
An interesting book on Hitler:
A local baseball jersey:
Salvation Army Attleboro:
Now this was the SA I'm used to: dirty place, shady client el, unmistakable odor. This store actually had a "collectibles" section. Their idea of collectible is madly skewed. I'm assuming this section is a ploy for suckers.
Got two cds; The Cranberries To the Faithful Departed and a late 90s Hardcore Compilation thats actually pretty damn good called Gain Ground- A Fistful of Hardcore:
Quincy Goodwill:
I never thought I'd say it, but after a day with the SA, I'll go back to goodwill rules any day. The goodwill is better in my opinion because I can buy items that don't have prices ( which puts a cashier on the spot and you usually get a great deal), and the wares aren't ridiculously overpriced.
What a weird haul today. A 10-pack of Cd-r's, bad ass sunglasses, and an awesome book; The Only Bush I trust Is My Own:
Not pictured is this little Hello Kitty bag for Justine, I couldn't leave the store without getting it, I'd feel bad about it later on.

How can you be so tired, you just started
Nothing like a Sunday noon visit to the goodwill, my brain is usually recovering from the night before and I have no clue what to expect in there because I never go on Fridays and Saturdays.
With that said, on to the goods.
N64 and PS2 controllers:
A 1982 GI Joe Mobat Tank:
A nice Warsteiner 4-glass set:
Headed over later on to Brockton, but didn't see anything that caught my eye.
