Today I had to go into Norwood to have my car serviced, so I decided after to go to some places I usually don't get out to.
Salvation Army Norwood:
This is actually a fairly new location, it certainly didn't have the SA odor and dirtiness. I felt like I was in Jordan's furniture the way they set the place up. This location has awesome deals on books (soft covers 4/$1) and records ( 50 cents ea.) other than that everything is way overpriced. There were a lot of antiques there, but the prices scare you away ( glassware was insane $2.99 and up). I actually found an awesome LP storage case, but since it didn't have a price tag they wouldn't sell it to me (boo!). Still got a few things.
Records; Gregorian Chant, 2 Polka and an accordion:
An interesting book on Hitler:
A local baseball jersey:
Salvation Army Attleboro:
Now this was the SA I'm used to: dirty place, shady client el, unmistakable odor. This store actually had a "collectibles" section. Their idea of collectible is madly skewed. I'm assuming this section is a ploy for suckers.
Got two cds; The Cranberries To the Faithful Departed and a late 90s Hardcore Compilation thats actually pretty damn good called Gain Ground- A Fistful of Hardcore:
Quincy Goodwill:
I never thought I'd say it, but after a day with the SA, I'll go back to goodwill rules any day. The goodwill is better in my opinion because I can buy items that don't have prices ( which puts a cashier on the spot and you usually get a great deal), and the wares aren't ridiculously overpriced.
What a weird haul today. A 10-pack of Cd-r's, bad ass sunglasses, and an awesome book; The Only Bush I trust Is My Own:
Not pictured is this little Hello Kitty bag for Justine, I couldn't leave the store without getting it, I'd feel bad about it later on.
