Went into the outlet after, and I have to say I take back my disposition against it, if you really look hard enough you can make a killing there. 10 laundry carts of books and every one of them is a quarter, same with cds, only one rack but still a quarter a piece.

Oh, thats so you

Central Square today, picked up these nice books, the bottom right one is an autographed copy:

Then went to Quincy, but not before picking up Mikey to get our Halloween costumes, a pic after Halloween I swear.

I'm not coming in tomorrow

I saw a PS2 for the first time but it was so beat up and console-only I didn't even bother.
Instead I settled on these books:

Is this for a male or a female?

Awesome day at the Quincy goodwill. First up is an exacto paper cutter which I've been looking out for, for quite some time:

An Odwalla light-up sign ( I'm getting a new bulb put in tomorrow):

Here is where it gets good. My one true thrift nemesis; Danny the Vietnemese guy and I have made an alliance. He remembered how I collect vintage bar signs and picked me up this beauty from the central goodwill a few weeks ago:

A 1957 Miller High Life light-up sign and clock!
He also said whenever he found something similar he'd pick it up for me. Totally good news.

Monday, October 15, 2007

I'll take a chance on it

Went to Central Sq. and for the first time in a while didn't pick up any video games, but I did get this old-school (unofficial) Nintendo Strategy book:

...which I do have complaints about. First, how can you dedicate 4 pages to Legend of Zelda II and like 8 for Alpha Mission. Second, I think the reviewers of these games were deaf because , and I quote " the audio is uninspiring, C+" Hello, this is fucking CONTRA we're talking about! I'd have sex to that music if girls would let me.

Yes!:

I HATE cats!

My usual Sunday afternoon Quincy run, got me this awesome Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas "audio play" cd:
