Started the day off in Quincy, still nothing. Headed off to the place in Hingham only to not be able to find it. (more on that later). Went out to Harrison Ave and took in a great haul.
Bunch of awesome records:
Got a few nice glasses ( especially the .5 liter Kaltenberg and the Lowenbrau; 3rd and 4th respectively):
An Old Mr. Boston Commemorative Bottle from 1970:
On to videogames. Let me note that over the past week I could have gotten 4 Playstation One's but they were way overpriced and the system just bores me to collect. Saw a Genesis today for 6.99 but it was obviously broken. Saw 2 NES's but they were waaay overpriced at 20 bucks a piece for console-only. Also saw a SNES Advantage control stick that I may pick up next time if it's still there next week. So what DID I get?
Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt (for the millionth time) & Kung Fu Heroes for the NES:
and.... A SEGA SATURN!!! WOOHOO!
My unique/awesome item of the Day definitely is this Warsteiner Stein:
Take a look at it, nothing out of the ordinary, right? WRONG. Although it is a regular sized stein, it certainly doesn't weigh like one. This baby clocks in at over 30 lbs.!!!
After that outing I decided to look for that place in Hingham again. Apparently I went to the wrong North St. the first time. Didn't really matter this time around. I found the place and it totally wasn't what I was expecting. It was a tiny hole-in-the-wall that carried jewelry, art from local artists and overpriced used books I wouldn't ever care to read. The place next to it was a leather shop with a few vintage bikes and alot of grateful dead memorabilia. Owner seemed like a cool guy. It was awkward being in there while he was fixing this guys vacuum cleaner.
Prob won't go anywhere else this week because I'm tied up at work. Unless anything turns up at Quincy, you probably won't hear from me until Sunday.
